My name is Luke and this is my beautiful wife, McKenzie.

LukeHageFilms is my business born from a love to capture and tell stories. But before LukeHageFilms…

There I was: a recent high school graduate and current subway employee. And even though I made the best subs you’d ever seen in a 5-mile radius, I knew there was something out there for me and I had to figure out what it is. Next thing I knew I was packed up in Florida and made my way to Tennessee where I began my first semester at Lee University. There I dove head-first into everything from the boxing club, cheerleading, and Greek clubs. 2 Semesters and 3 Major changes later, I realized my passion was in filmmaking: capturing and telling stories through film.

From filming camp videos to being asked to film my first wedding for a friend, I found myself loving the art that came with shooting and editing, and most importantly, telling stories in the medium.

A few semesters later, I spotted the love of my life. She was singing on stage at a church worship event at a park in town. I was there with a church which I played the drums for. Fast forward a little bit and we’re hanging out for the first time at a sonic, sharing family stories and nervous laughs. It feels like I’m there as I’m writing this, which makes it even crazier to think we’ve just had our first anniversary as husband & wife. And Now, expecting our first baby.

McKenzie has supported and continues to support me and my business. She is my rock, and I’m grateful for her and the way she believes in me and encourages my passions.

I hope that when watching my work, you can see the passion that was put into making each video.

When I was a sophomore in college, only recently having changed my major to Cinema from Psychology (hilarious, I know), I knew the next thing I really needed was a camera. There were free options at the school where I could rent a camera for a day or two, then return it- but I needed my own. I knew if I bought a camera with my money I would treat it with much higher intention and appreciation than if I had just rented one from the school. But even when I had the money it was difficult for me to make the purchase. I guess that’s the power of a little cash. But I believed that this camera would be the investment that would give back much more than this initial payment… And well, I was more right than I could have ever known.

5 years, 3 cameras, and many, many wedding videos later, I’ve come to appreciate that one, very important investment that gave me unfathomable amounts of value over time through experience, skill, finances, and a growing passion for filmmaking.

Your wedding video is important, and will only increase in value over time. For now, it might be only you two and the extended family watching it, crying, laughing, reminiscing a year from now. But before you know it you’ll realize your kids are watching it with you on your 10th, 20th, 30th anniversary. Money comes and goes, but memories are irreplaceable. And when they can be shared with the ones you love…priceless.
